Pyrogel® XTF
Insulation

Pyrogel® XTF is a high-temperature insulation blanket formed of silica aerogel and reinforced with a non-woven, high-temperature batting. Similar to Pyrogel® XT in composition, Pyrogel® XTF has been specially formulated to provide exceptional protection against fire.

High temperature steam pipes, vessels and equipment, aerospace and defense systems, fire barriers and welding blankets

small nanopores

"The silica solids, which are poor conductors, consist of very small, three-dimensional, intertwined clusters that comprise only 3% of the volume. Conduction through the solid is therefore very low. The remaining 97% of the volume is composed of air in extremely small nanopores." (also see Safety Data Sheet)
