Harvesting more solar energy with two-dimensional supercrystals

Posted On: 2024-04-25

Researchers are developing "plasmonic nanostructures" that can be used to concentrate solar energy. These nanostructures are two-dimensional supercrystals made from gold and platinum that generate hydrogen from formic acid with the help of sunlight. They hold the potential to capture and use solar energy more efficiently.
