HYBRIDSIL Foam Insulation
Category: Insulation - Heat/Frost
Description:

two-part spray foam, low-VOC, non-halogenated, fire-resistant, silicon-based insulation coating designed to replace polyurethane spray coatings that can pose environmental hazards and are extremely flammable with toxic combustion byproducts

(NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER INCLUDED IN THE COMPANY'S ONLINE LIST OF PRODUCTS, SUGGESTING THAT IT MAY NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE)

Typical Use:

Applied using conventional equipment, HYBRIDSIL foam expands within seconds to provide lightweight coatings that permeate wall cavities to provide thermal insulation and air sealing, thus reducing energy consumption without introducing potential air pollutants. The product can be used as an alternative to existing spray polyurethane foams.

Apparent use of Nanotechnology: nanocomposite foam structure
Reason for Inclusion:

"HYBRIDSIL provides a nanocomposite foam structure with orders of magnitude greater thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as improved fire retardancy, bio-fouling resistance, and mechanical durability." (see brochure via product link)
