NanoSteel's Super Hard Steel® (SHS) cored wires for weld overlay applications are patented steel alloys which provide superior wear performance in extreme service environments for increasing the life of industrial parts and components.
Applied via Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Open Arc Welding (OAW) as an alternative to chrome carbides, complex carbides and tungsten carbide alloys for wear. The material chemistry of SHS 9500 is optimized to minimize cracking and well suited for hardfacing worn industrial parts and components. Application example: Hardfacing for metal-on-metal sliding abrasive wear applications
