NanoSteel's Super Hard Steel® (SHS) cored wires for weld overlay applications are patented steel alloys which provide superior wear performance in extreme service environments for increasing the life of industrial parts and components.

Applied via Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Open Arc Welding (OAW) as an alternative to chrome carbides, complex carbides and tungsten carbide alloys for wear. Application example: Hardfacing for vibratory compactor drums, excavator buckets, dozer blades, loader buckets, fan blades and feed screws; overlay wear plate for haul truck beds and side dump doors, conveyor systems, transfer chutes, dragline and shovel buckets, hoppers and rock crushers
