NanoSteel's Super Hard Steel® (SHS) atomized powders for weld overlay applications are patented steel alloys for precision hardfacing projects which significantly increase the service life of industrial parts and components in extreme wear environments.
SHS 9290 provides the highest abrasive wear resistance of any NanoSteel alloy, making it well-suited for the most extreme service environment. The product is is suited for shop welding jobs. Application example: Bucket wheel components, bucket teeth, screen decks, fan blades and feed screws
When welded, SHS atomized powders form a near nano-scale microstructure with a unique combination of high hardness and toughness properties which provide superior strength performance over conventional steels. (see product link)
