NanoSteel's Super Hard Steel® (SHS) stick electrode is a patented nano-structured steel alloy for weld overlay applications, which provides the end user with an option for making small hardfacing and liner plate repairs in the field.

Typical Use:

Applied via Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) as an alternative to chrome carbides, complex carbides and tungsten carbide alloys for wear. SHS 9700E provides exceptional wear resistance and has been designed for overlay applications on mild and low alloy steels. Application example: Field repairs on parts exposed to severe sliding abrasion or high metal-to-metal friction

Apparent use of Nanotechnology: nano-structured steel alloy that forms a near nano-scale microstructure when welded
