Apparent use of Nanotechnology: Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles
Reason for Inclusion:

1. A 2007 Product Data Sheet for TX Active® Photocatalytic Cements, including Tx Arca and Tx Aria, states under Section 4 Product Composition: "In the United States, Gray or White Portland Cement Type I, II, and III complying with ASTM C 150 with the addition of nano-sized particles of titanium dioxide (TiO2) specifically engineered for use in the manufacture of concrete and concrete products."

2. More recent Product Data Sheets from 2008 and July, 2013 describe the inclusion of "proprietary particles of titanium dioxide (TiO2)" but do not mention nanoparticles. It is unclear whether this information was designated as proprietary or if the the product formulation changed with the i.active Saylor's apparent rebranding of this product.

3. A Product Data Sheet accessed in January 2020 says that the product "imparts into [cement-based] materials photocatalytic properties enabling them to abate noxious substances produced by human activities such as industry, transport and residential heating systems," but does not mention nanoparticles.
