TWP Total Wood Preservative
Category: Coatings - wood
Description:

EPA registered wood preservative which prevents structural damage and wood decay

Typical Use:

exterior above ground wood surfaces such as untreated or previously treated fencing, decking, wood siding, log homes and roofing

Apparent use of Nanotechnology: transoxide pigments ground down into the nano range
Reason for Inclusion:

"TWP will NEVER fail by cracking, peeling & flaking as paint or solid stain does because it is compatible with the woods natural expansion & contraction characteristics. TWP uses nanotechnology which allows UV blocking compounds that are normally opaque to become transparent, giving it the ability to protect against UV damage. When transoxide pigments are ground down into the nano range they become opaque to UV light and transparent to visible light... All Surface Restoration does NOT apply paint or solid stain to decks. These products hide the natural beauty of the wood’s grain & do not penetrate below the surface. It’s wrong to use these types of products on decks in Michigan because they do not have the same vapor transmission characteristics as a penetrating oil based sealer like TWP (Total Wood Preservative)."  -  All Surface Restoration (3rd Party Website)
