PComP™ M 144
Category: Thermal spray coating materials
Description:

MesoCoat Inc. proposed novel nano-composite, solid lubricant coatings generated by High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) spraying of nano/mesostructured powders to reduce the liquid metal attack to the tooling. The novel coatings offer a high corrosion and wear resistance due to their unique structure and morphology.

Typical Use:

microcomposite cermet coating for industrial surface engineering applications

Apparent use of Nanotechnology: ceramic hard nanoscaled particles
Reason for Inclusion:

"A combination between hardness, high toughness and high corrosive stability against molten zinc within the powder particles and in the coating itself is achieved due to the unique combination of nanoscaled hard particles with micro- and mesoscaled binder. The ceramic hard nanoscaled particles serve to enhance the wear and mechanical properties of the coatings." (see product link)
