MicroPro® Treated Lumber
Category: Lumber
Description:

MicroPro® technology is a revolutionary way to pressure treat wood for decks, fences, landscaping and general construction uses. MicroPro pressure treated wood is treated with micronized copper preservatives, which help protect against termite damage and fungal decay. MicroPro offers many benefits including significantly improved corrosion performance. MicroPro treated wood products are US building code compliant.

Pressure treated wood products with MicroPro® technology might be branded as LifeWood MCA, ProWood Micro, MicroPro AC2, to name a few.

Typical Use:
General Use - Above Ground (Examples - decking, joists, beams, and sills.)

Ground Contact and Fresh Water Contact (Examples - decks, fence posts, playsets and docks.)

Ground Contact - Critical Structural Members (Examples - building poles, permanent wood foundations, salt water splash zones.)

Apparent use of Nanotechnology: micro- and nano-sized particles of copper carbonate or copper oxide
Reason for Inclusion:

"A new copper preservative [photo of MicroPro treated decking shown] consisting of copper carbonate or oxide micro and nano particles was launched commercially in 2006" (pg. 7 of Related Information #1)

According to the Safety Data Sheet, the product contains copper carbonate (CAS # 12069-69-1) below reportable limits
